My Inspiration:
- I was recently thinking about how great God's love is and the difficulties Christians encounter as they begin to deepen their relationship with God. Such as shifting your identity from "sinner" to "Child of God."
- I have come to realise that it is when you don't forgive yourself and when you live in shame that you are not truly accepting the gospel for what it is. We need to remember that God always calls out for us and when we come to him, he wipes away our sin and makes us brand new. So if we do not forgive ourselves do we truly believe in the gospel? Do we truly believe God forgives?
Verses to refer to:
- Isaiah 1:18 = “Come now, and let us reason together,” Says the LORD, “Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool.
- Ephesians 2:8-9 = For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
- Romans 10:13 = For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
